But then I asked the girl, what kind of animals they were saving, and she told me that they were saving pandas, seals, dolphins, polar bears ect. ect.
"Oh, that's nice" I said, "those animals are being killed all the time".
"Yeah" the girl said, "And people just eat them and use the skin for cloth, that is SO mean"
So I asked her if they also saved animals like pigs and cows, and she told me they didn't, and when I asked why, since these animals also get killed all the time, she didn't have an answer for me.
This is where I decided NOT to donate any money.
I mean you just can't decided to save some animals because you like them, and think they are cool and exotic.
You can't go: "But I only wanna save the seals cuz they are SO cute.... cows are dumb and smelly, and they are making the hole in the ozone layer bigger with their farts, they deserve to die.... but I'm a vegeterian so I'm not going to eat the meat anyway"
You either save ALL of the animals, even the ones you don't like or none at all.... you can't serve both God and mammon.

Wow, you've really thought this one through Troels...
Haha Troels. The answer you seek is in their name, World Wildlife Fund.
Domesticated animals like cows and pigs are not considered wildlife, what you are looking for is PETA :)
Anyways it is hilarious how they always showcase dolphins and pandas when rallying for support. Why won't anyone stand up for Chlamydoselachus anguineus (The frilled Shark)???
Frilled shark
OK so it might not be a looker, but it's been around for a while, and I'm sure it could take on a Panda and Dolphin at the same time.
I don't really care what the name of the organization is, you just can't choose to save some animals and not others... taken into consideration that more cows and pigs are killed every day compared to pandas ect.
Incidentally the Frilled Shark in the posted photo died shortly after the photo was taken...
True story, look it up.
I see your point, but I can't say I agree. The vision and goals of WWF is pretty clear, and no it does not encompass pigs and cows. The girl you meet seems pretty clueless as to what organization she is working for, and it is always funny how they promote themselves on "cute" animals, and not my Frilled Shark :( The things is, they are in there good right to do so, and you are in your good right to choose not to support. As said PETA sounds more like what you are after. And just to get you worked up a bit more...Take a look at pandasinternational.org
Yes Troels, this organization only supports the Panda :P
are you really a vegetarian?
